RACHEL

Christmas Day was perfect. Mikayla’s dad and family are seriously cool. The food was divine, and the Christmas games they’d organized for the kids were a blast. We all got into them. Watching Ethan and Liam chasing the children and making them squeal with excited laughter made my lady parts dance. Even Mick was affected by it, not that she wanted to admit how sexy two gorgeous men giving pony rides to children is.

Yesterday, Emilia introduced me to the pastry chef at their classiest restaurant, and he let me help him make a batch of crème brûlées. It was the most fun I’d ever had in a kitchen. The guy treated me like I was a valuable asset. He even gave me some tips on how to perfect my chocolate lava cake recipe.

I never want to leave this place. Seriously. It’s the best.

But I’m aware it’s just a bubble, and as a way to ease out of it, Mikayla and I decide to go shopping at the mall in the nearby town.

The boys drive us over there and are planning on heading to the local rink to see if they can score some ice time. They haven’t booked or anything, so it’s a long shot, but worth a try.

As I’m getting out of the car, Liam captures my wrist and tugs me back to his side. His kiss is sweet, his smile enough to make me float.

“Have fun shopping.”

“I will.” It’s hard not to giggle the words.

Seriously. This is ridiculous. I’m acting like a lovesick fool, but it’s impossible not to.

Three nights with Liam and I’m a goner.

I’m kind of surprised by how not freaked out I am by it all.

Maybe it’s the bubble thing.

“Come on, lovebird.” Mick drags me away from the car.

“Like you can talk,” I tease her. “I’ve never seen you so happy.”

She grins at me, doing a giddy little skip. “It’s true. I’m in love with Ethan Galloway.”

I smile at her, my heart blooming. She deserves this. I hope she and Ethan last forever.

Yes, I’m still a romantic. Even after everything I’ve been through with Theo, I want to believe in love.

Glancing over my shoulder, I watch the car Ethan’s driving pull out of the mall parking lot and wonder if I’ll ever love Liam. Wondering if I already kind of do.

These feelings are similar to what I went through with Theo but more intense. The sex—not that I should compare, but what the hell—is off the charts. Theo never tried to make me come. He got in, he came, he got out. Not that it didn’t feel good for me, too, but Liam’s main purpose of sleeping with me seems to be “give Rachel multiple orgasms.”

And oh boy, does he pass with flying colors every time.

He keeps asking me what I want. It’s like he’s trying to study my body, figure out every one of my pleasure points. He wants to master me… in all the right ways.
